2 Singapore teams win gold at International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence

The first International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence was held from 9-15 Aug in Burgas, Bulgaria. The competition is a test of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) knowledge and is divided into the scientific round and practical round. A total of 40 teams participated in the competition and two Singapore teams were among the four top winners who won gold. Year Three student Huang Shi Yu from Temasek Polytechnic is one of the members of the first team. The second team is made up of third-year AI and Data Engineering student from the Nanyang Polytechnic, Zhang Jia Shuo (transliteration), Lan Yu Le and Wang Jia Yu (transliteration) from NUS High School of Math and Science and third-year Applied AI and Analytics student from Singapore Polytechnic Wu Xue Le (transliteration).
