Tasmania
Despite frosty temperatures, our Culinary & Catering Management students were in high spirits learning about organic farming, agriculture and the importance of carbon element in our soil. Blueberry trees, carrots, beetroot and salad greens were all in sight!
Philippines
Students and staff visited Cauayan City as part of their Overseas Community Project. Solar lights and water pipes were installed for villagers in the community of Sitio Manalpaac.
Cambodia
Students from our School of Humanities & Social Sciences had the opportunity to be a part of something inspiring for their Overseas Community Project (OCP). They painted walls and laid tiles for a classroom in a high school and donated clothes and food to impoverished villages. With their positive attitude and giving spirits, they generated big smiles everywhere!
Laos
Students and staff visit Khammouane Province in Laos for their Overseas Community Project. In addition to conducting English lessons for local students, the team from TP helped set up a library with a whopping 1000 books!
Shanghai
For two weeks, our students had the opportunity to explore the sights and sounds of China, from the high hills and gushing rivers to the bustling city and lush gardens. During their China Studies attachment programme, they learned how the local communities thrive - all while soaking in the best of Chinese history and culture.
Korea
Samsung products, bibimbap, K-pop and numerous other elements of tech gadgets, delectable food and famous entertainment sums up the whole Korean experience for our Retail Management students, as part of their Study and Merchandise Buying Trip in Busan and Seoul.
Japan
Konnichiwa! Our polytechnic foundation programme and Informatics & IT students recently visited the land of the rising sun for their cultural and study trips. Students soaked up the local culture through exchange programmes with local students and traditional activities such as soba making and Wadaiko (Japanese drums) lessons.
Russia
Students from the Cyber & Digital Security and Digital Forensics diploma participated in a study trip to Russia, learning about its rich and unique history as well as exploring Kaspersky Lab, a multinational cybersecurity company, an expert in detecting cyber threats.
Oman
Camel rides, amazing food and the study trip of a lifetime as students head to the exotic locale of Oman to support the Singapore Food Festival held at the Sheraton Hotel in Muscat.
Tanzania
Hospitality & Tourism Management alumnus Eugene Low, braved the plains of Africa as he spent his internship at the world renowned Four Seasons lodge in Tanzania!
Netherlands
As the two top group project winners for a competition held by TP and electronics giant, Philips, these five students from the Diploma in Integrated Facility Management were awarded the opportunity to visit the Philips headquarters, in Amsterdam. There, they learned first-hand about the future of smart lighting technology from the experts in the field.
France
Aerospace Engineering student Sin Haeng heads to Toulouse for an exciting internship with aviation giant, Airbus.
Boston and New York, USA
Students from the Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics participated in an overseas study trip to Boston and New York, USA! They had a chance to see and experience the cyber range facility at IBM Boston’s Innovation Centre and the IBM New York’s state-of-the-art Watson research lab which features artificial intelligence, big data and analytics and cloud technologies in the area of Cyber Threat Intelligence.
USA
A quartet from the Diploma in Integrated Facility Management certainly had a magical internship at Disney World in Orlando, Florida! They went there as part of Disney’s International College Programme, and returned with valuable insights in the integrated facilities industry.
St. Kitts in the Caribbean
Working in a research lab is serious stuff, but check out this amazing view when our students step outside! They did a 12-week internship in Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM), where the campus is right next to the Caribbean Sea. You bet they explored the pristine islands and beaches non-stop!
