Foreign or International Qualification holders (including Returning Singapore Citizens) may apply for admission through the following pathways:

 

Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE-Foreign):
 

  • The DAE-Foreign allows applicants with foreign or international qualifications (including Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents) who are not eligible to participate in the JAE, EAE and JPAE to apply for the TP course of their interest.

Entrance Tests

 

The harmonised entrance tests are jointly organised by the five Polytechnics in Singapore. Applicants may be shortlisted to sit for the entrance tests for English and/or Mathematics and/or Science if they meet the Minimum Entry Requirements of the course applied for.

 

Shortlisted applicants will receive an email invitation for Entrance Tests by 6 December 2024. The Online Entrance Tests will be held on 22 January 2025.

Please refer to the respective release of application outcome period listed in the table above. Applicants may check their application outcome (application status) through the Online Applicant Portal*.

 

* Applicants who have provided a valid email address in their application may expect to receive an auto-generated email when there is a change in their application status.

 

If the application status is “Under Consideration”, it means we are still processing the application. Please continue to check online until the final outcome is either “Successful” or “Unsuccessful”.

 

 

Successful Applicants

 

Successful applicants will receive an e-Enrolment Package to confirm their acceptance of the offer through Online Applicant Portal. Please refer to Course Acceptance and Enrolment for more information.

 

The period between receiving the e-Enrolment Package and the online course acceptance can be as short as 1 or 2 days.  It is important that successful applicants do not delay the acceptance of the offer through the Online Applicant Portal.

Can I apply for admission while I am serving my NS in Singapore?

Yes, you may. The Polytechnic will reserve a place for successful male applicants who are unable to obtain approval to defer or be disrupted from their Singapore full-time National Service (NS) to join the current intake. Reservation of a place is only applicable to male Singaporeans and Singapore PRs who are required to serve NS and are admitted to a polytechnic course for the first time.

For your top few choices for JAE, you may wish to select those TP courses that you are passionate about and for which your net ELR2B2 aggregate score is less than or equal to the previous year’s highest aggregate score of the course or not too far above the highest score.

To maximise the likelihood of being posted to a course of your JAE choices, you should ensure that, for some of your selected courses, your net ELR2B2 aggregate score falls below the previous year’s highest aggregate scores of those courses.
