Facilities

Group Study Zones

The Group Study Zones located at levels 3-5 are for users to engage in group work. Students and staff can book hubs, pods or presentation room for group discussions through the Campus Insights@TP platform.

Bookings for the week start at 0000 hours on Monday. Each person is allocated a maximum of 3 hours per week, which can be used to book a hub, pod or presentation room. Watch the video instructions here.

Eating is allowed at level 3 only. Please be considerate and dispose of your food remnants and containers properly.

Hubs

Eleven enclosed hubs are spread across levels 4 and 5, each able to seat between six and ten individuals comfortably. Each hub comes equipped with a wireless projector and a writing glass.

Pods

There are eight pods each on both level 4 and 5. Each pod comes equipped with a writing glass.

Presentation Room

The presentation room on level 4 can accommodate up to 10 individuals. Students have the option to bring their own cameras to record their presentations.

Other Facilities

Activity Room

Located at Level 3, the glass-walled Activity Room has movable furniture and is ideal for seminars, workshops and retreats for TP staff and students. It comes equipped with a projector and can seat up to 60. TP staff who wish to reserve the Activity Room must submit the request form in advance.

Multi-Purpose Room

Located within the Temasek Gallery at Level 9, the Multi-Purpose Room is a modern and conducive venue for training for TP staff and students. Equipped with a projector, the Multi-Purpose Room can seat up to 50 pax with movable table chairs. TP staff who wish to reserve the room must submit the request form in advance.

Temasek Gallery

The Temasek Gallery is where we invite visitors to get insights into TP’s remarkable growth and the principles that have guided us in the last 30 years. It tells the TP story through the shared experiences and contributions of staff, students and alumni.

Self-Study Zones

Levels 6 to 8 are designated as Self-Study Zones for students who prefer a quieter environment for individual study. No talking is allowed, so please go to other levels if you need to chat. Eating is not allowed in this zone.

Collections

Closed Stacks

Older materials are kept in the Closed Stacks but may still be borrowed upon request. To request for Closed Stacks materials, use Poly LibSearch to search for the item and sign in to your account. After signing in, click on Request. You will receive a notification email once the item is ready for collection.

E-Resources

E-resources provide online access to hundreds of e-books, e-journals, infographics, newspapers, statistics, videos and more. Browse the A-Z listing or by content type.

Eco Hive Collection

Located within the Restricted Loan & Media Collection at Level 2, Eco Hive contains a selection of books about environment and sustainability, which can be borrowed. There are also exhibits showcasing eco-conscious projects from TP's centres, departments, facilities and schools. Click here to browse the titles from Poly LibSearch.

A selection of fiction titles are available at Level 6 of the Library. Use Poly LibSearch to look up specific titles or click here to browse the collection.

Gallery Collection

The Temasek Gallery collection includes selected works written, produced or about members of the TP community. The collection is housed within the Temasek Gallery at Level 9. Click here to browse the titles from Poly LibSearch.

Media Items

The Media collection comprises audio-visual and multimedia materials in CD, CD-ROM and DVD formats. These materials are housed at level 2 and cover a wide range of subject areas from art and design to sports and travel. Click here to browse the collection. The library also subscribes to video databases such as LinkedIn Learning for teaching and learning.

New Arrivals

Newly purchased titles are displayed at the beginning and middle of the month, at the New Arrivals shelves at Level 2. You may also browse newly purchased titles here.

Open Shelf

The Open Shelf collection consists mainly of academic titles relevant to Temasek Polytechnic’s curriculum and is spread across Levels 6 to 8 of the Library. Use Poly LibSearch to look up specific titles or subject areas.

Past Examination Papers

Past examination papers can be accessed from TP Archives. Search under the Exam Paper collection. Make sure you are signed in to view the results. Do note that only the current seven years exam papers are available and answers are not provided.

Cannot find a paper?

The subject is course-based.
Exam papers older than seven years are not available.
Not all exam papers are released for access. If the paper is not available, you could check with your lecturer.

Periodicals

The Periodicals collection at Level 6 includes popular and general interest magazines as well as academic and trade journals. The library also subscribes to academic e-journals for research and teaching. For journal articles research, use journal & magazine databases.

Restricted Loans

The Restricted Loan collection is conveniently located at Level 2 and comprises high use materials such as:

Recommended textbooks - Use LibSearch’s Advanced Search option to find recommended texts by School, Course or Lecturer Name.
Multi-volume works such as law reports, pharmacopoeias and yearbooks.
Standards from various issuing bodies such as American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), British Standards Institution (BSI), International Organization of Standardization (ISO), and SPRING Singapore. The Singapore Standards Subscription Service contains over 500 Singapore Standards and Technical References.
