iCool Temperature Badge
During the SARS outbreak in 2003, TP developed a multi-purpose temperature measuring device that can be easily self-administered and catering to the community-level monitoring (e.g. in hospitals, schools and army) needs. Known as iCool Temperature Badge, the implementation of the device only requires low-cost, off-the-shelf microprocessor.
iCool Temperature Badge was put to good use during the H1N1 outbreak in 2009 when it was widely used in many other organisations island-wide including other polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education. To date, TP had delivered about 140,000 pieces of iCool Temperature Badge.
