Security Agencies Competency Evaluation (SACE)
SACE is a licensing criterion for applicants applying for or renewing a security agency (SA) licence from 1 January 2022
From 1 Jan 2023 : SA which passes all 9 core competencies and 5 elective competencies will be eligible for licence tenure of 2 years
Important: In addition to passing the competency assessment for Core and Elective Competencies, the Security Agency will also need to meet the other stipulated licensing criteria for security agencies
e-Learning Training Package
The Security Industry Institute (SII) has developed an e-Learning training package which is targeted to help our security industry partners in meeting the requirement for “C.2: Continuous Professional Development”.
The package is built upon the trusted mobile platform of Temasek SkillsFuture Academy (TSA)’s partner for Micro-Learning, Gnowbe.
We would like to introduce our proprietary mobile APP which uses Augmented Reality (AR) technology in training, creating entirely new learning experiences. This 4-hour training package will help keep the knowledge of our security officers (SO) fresh and current, and at the same time helping our security industry partners in meeting the requirement for “E.2: Simulation Training”. At least 10 percent of the agency’s security SOs will need to attend training in order to achieve this.
The training content for both the e-learning as well as ARAST training packages focuses on the 3 basic training programmes
