Our Achievements

Achievement - International Building Design Competition
Onward to University!

Seven students from our diploma’s first cohort (class of 2024) have secured places at the National University of Singapore (NUS), pursuing degrees in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Infrastructure & Project Management.

Their ABS diploma training, which gave them a strong foundation in sustainable and resilient design, green building technologies, energy efficiency, and the integration of smart technologies into architectural design – had helped them to make the cut.

International Building Design Competition

ABS students won a Silver and a Consolation award in the annual International Building Design Competition 2022, with their proposed building concepts for Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Rangsit University of Bangkok, respectively.

The competition required contestants to re-imagine their built environment using emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, taking into account Sustainability, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfMA), and Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD).

Solar Decathlon China

Three ABS students won the Silver award in the High Quality Workforce Development Challenge, as part of the Solar Decathlon China 2022.

The students evaluated a given building’s electrical consumption using IESVE (a building simulation software), and compared the results with that generated by a team from China which had used a different software.
