Course Overview

The SkillsFuture Work-Study Programme for the Energy & Chemicals sector is a 12-month work-study certificate programme leading to the part-time Diploma in Applied Science (Chemical Technology). It provides participants with relevant knowledge and skills in process engineering, occupational safety and health, environmental technology, productivity and quality management to support the continued growth of the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Upon completing the 2 skills-based Modular Certificates (MC) under the programme, participants will be able to understand and apply the process engineering principles and knowledge relevant to the operational requirements in the chemical and chemical-related industries.

Academic Progression

Participants have the option to take up the remaining 3 skills-based Modular Certificates (MCs) to obtain the part-time Diploma in Applied Science (Chemical Technology).

Please see Course Structure for more information.

What You'll Learn

Participants are required to complete a total of 2 skills-based Modular Certificates (MCs). Each MC can be completed in 1 semester, i.e. 6 months. A certificate will be issued once the requirements for each MC are met. Participants must complete these 2 MCs within 12 months.

Upon completing the programme, graduates can have the option to complete the remaining 3 MCs to obtain the part-time Diploma in Applied Science (Chemical Technology).
